Just listening to Julio Bashmore’s essential mix and this is the 2nd or 3rd track in.. a great deep house cut from 1994

You could probably create a whole blog on tracks that influenced Daft Punk, but with the Animation in the background this has got to be a definite. At least DP decided to wear helmets though..

Amazing resource for finding how sounds were created.. I came to it after typing ‘Blue Monday Snare’ and this was the first result from Google… DMX Drum Machine was the answer! Some of the images are missing unfortunately, but audio examples are there!

Concept:

Where possible record one piano improvisation a day into Ableton via Midi 
On the same day make field recording(s) with Tascam DR-07MkII 
These recordings must become inseparable and will form the basis of the composition. 
Additional programming, editing and mixing of the track must be completed in one day, preferably shorter. 
Take notes about the day to inspire a title of the track when the album is complete.
